1. Think about the language you use 🗣️
- You should avoid using acronyms and technical terms unless you know that your users are experts.
- Be specific; if you sell custom-made notebooks then “Shop” is less effective than “Hardback notebooks”, “Leather-bound notebooks” etc
2. Don't hide your navigation behind a button click 🫣
Hiding your navigation in a hamburger 🍔 menu (hidden behind a click) — people use the navigation to confirm they're in the right place, hiding it increases the changes they'll leave 🏃♂️
3. Avoid the machine gun method 🔫
Too many options will cause choice paralysis. Reduce the complexity in navigation, you can provide more choice the deeper they go into the site.
